New "Green Arrow" Concept Short From THOUSAND POUNDS Shows What Could Have Been
With the CW’s live-action superhero television series, ARROW, taking a ratings lead, the series has become a big hit among fans and followers of the DC Comics comic book character. However, long before anyone knew about the television show, the guys over at Thousand Pounds Action Company decided to apply their creative juices to formulate what would likely have been another independent, action-packed fan favorite.
Known for implementing their love for asian culture and action fanfare to their filmmaking luster and genius behind such shortfilm projects as Naruto: Dreamer’s Fight, Street Fighter X Tekken, the Takanashi Yasuharu-inspired short fight film, Eleven, and the upcoming fantasy sci-fi martial arts clan warfare series, Clandestine Path, Thousand Pounds Action Company has grown to work some of the best and most talented stunt performers, coordinators and filmmakers in the making. Their latest conceptual video, Earth 3, is exemplary of that, and it goes to show just why it is that the expectations for this independent film company have only gotten higher.
Nick Benseman plays the masked lead in green, while Amy Johnston dons the black cape and cowl as Black Canary. And if you are familiar with the characters, you know where this *could* go (or where it could have gone, at least). Otherwise, watch it, and enjoy. 😉
