Paul Bettany To Become The 'Vision' Of THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

It’s been a busy month of February for developing news around Marvel’s current production of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, with filming locations hinting at a gym in New York City, as well as locations in South Africa this month, in addition to reports that events in the preceding Captain America: The Winter Soldier will contribute to events in the new Avengers film which may or may not include Ms. Marvel. But while all other developments are being made to get the information straight, we can at least confirm one more role to be introduced in the form of Vision, to be played by Paul Bettany. The character has a few shared origins in the Avengers canon, but it appears Marvel is going the route of the character’s creation by way of character Tony Stark’s creation of Ultron when Ultron goes rogue and hacks J.A.R.V.I.S. (Stark’s cyberbutler also voiced by […]

Bong Joon-Ho's SNOWPIERCER Keeps Its Director’s Cut For North America

It’s been a long, long await for South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho as he sought to see his latest film, Snowpiercer, get its day in theaters around the world, including in North America. Evidently, as the film launched its success story with rave reviews from its previous releases in South Korea, Hong Kong and France, in addition to its positive test audience ratings for the director’s cut against TWC’s, the film suffered from a major snag last year as Harvey Weinstein felt it necessary to chop the film down for its U.S. audiences in southern states so it would sell better as a condensed action movie. This obviously did not settle well with the director and it ultimately lead to a long and winding debate that kept the film’s North American release in an unnecessary state of limbo while Bong and TWC sorted out their differences, until Thursday night when […]

The shortfilm left such an impression among fans that even action star Scott Adkins retweeted it on Twitter, among other important folks in the world of action. That said, as Jacobus marks fifteen years as founding member of The Stunt People, his work continues to sustain its place as a blueprint for other aspiring action actors and stunt team founders alike, including actor Julius Kmak in the good company of his people representing Slovakian indie film group 3 Media Production with their new shortfilm, Never Surrender.
