Award-winning and nominated Australian-born cinematographer Stephen Windon‘s career resumé as of late is worth highlighting. Sulinh Lafontaine And The Curious Case Of Her Credits On FURIOUS 7

Twitter went a bit crazy on Sunday night when stylist and designer, actress and self-proclaimed stuntwoman Sulinh Lafontaine claimed she performed car-driving stunts in a recent CNN iReport interview in lieu of the latest premiere of director James Wan’s new movie, Furious Seven. It wasn’t the first time she claimed having performed work on the movie, having also given mention to it in a previous interview done back in January. Well, it appears that her otherwise falsely-stated credits are paying a heavy price. The stunt community is a tightly-knit one and word tends to get around mighty fast when someone says or does something significant in any capacity. It’s Monday and I have had quite an epic weekend with much more to talk about after this. That said, hopefully you caught my video with my good friend, film enthusiast Jon Cross after watching Furious Seven as it roared through the box office. Reviews are mixed but the film is still generally loved by the majority of the fans of the franchise who have stuck around since its conception nearly fifteen years ago. Furious Seven, as it is titled on the screen in the U.S., was the third and last film to release posthumously after lead actor Paul Walker lost his life on November 30, 2013 while on holiday break from filming the movie. It was probably a matter of time and obvious to those in the know, but it’s apparently official now that the release of director James Wan’s Furious 7 is well underway and already well onto an epic weekend at the box-office. Among other things, perhaps the biggest proponent to finishing director James Wan’s Furious 7 in tribute to one of its lead stars, late actor Paul Walker, was the involvement of brothers Cody and Caleb, in conjunction with visual effects house, WETA Digital, in order to help fill in the blanks left behind after his death in late November of 2013. FURIOUS 7 Is Back On Track In Thailand

Thai audiences can now breathe a sigh of relief this week for the release of international action star Tony Jaa’s latest Hollywood debut, Furious 7. Word from The Bangkok Post reports that the Civil Court has lifted the injunction initially requested by Jaa’s former management, Sahamongkol Film International Co., Ltd. against Universal Pictures and the film’s Thailand distributor, United International Pictures Far East Co. The injunction came several days ago at the behest of Sahamongkol’s chief founder and executive, Somsak Techarantanaprasert who asked for THB 1.6 billion (roughly $50 million USD) claiming the release of the film would cause irreversible damages to the company. The reviews are online for the upcoming release of director James Wan’s Furious 7 which welcomed attendees for a surprise midnught screening at SXSW in Texas on Sunday evening, and albeit mixed opinions and such, the verdict is good. VERY good! At any rate, this film is already promoting itself, so it needs no help at this point for a film that will become a box-office slam dunk in three weeks. But… for the lovely and charming Michelle Rodriguez and Ronda Rousey, I had to share these gems. Yummy!

I’ve written and rambled to almost no end about the Fast And Furious franchise, and at this point, I think director James Wan‘s latest installment with Furious 7 is in no commercial danger of failing at the box office. This franchise has long been a hit having turned from a standalone action thriller into a sprawling saga of epic proportions that continues to stand the test of time. Green Lantern? Ask me anything about movies other than this, because I know very little of the mythology behind the character off the top of my head. But, with the property now poised for a potential inclusion in Warner Bros.’s currently brewing DC movieverse between 2017 and 2020, actor and musician Tyrese Gibson is now fastracking his own campaign to claim the lead role. The most recent live-action portrayal came from actor Ryan Renyolds in a 2011 adaptation that ultimately flopped, which is probably a good thing considering he should have already been filming Deadpool by then at least.
